Welcome to Chatham County Creek Week!

Chatham Creek Week will take place June 19th– 26th, 2021!

Creek Week is a celebration of Chatham County’s four rivers and numerous creeks. These bodies of water provide the water for our lives and the lives of the animals and plants that live here. Chatham Creek Week offers the opportunity for the public to interact with the waters of our County through a variety of river-oriented activities.

Celebrate the headwaters of the Cape Fear River and join Chatham Creek Week in exploring the Deep, Haw, and Rocky Rivers and their numerous tributaries County-wide through a variety of programs with an aquatic theme! Check back here in the upcoming weeks to plan your participation in the many programs that will be offered June 19th – 26th in the County’s creeks, rivers and watersheds.

Chatham Creek Week is a county-wide initiative organized by the Deep River Park, Haw River Assembly and Rocky River Heritage organizations.

Want to participate in Creek Week? Visit the Opportunities/Events page to see what programs are being offered during Creek Week. Some programs need a pre-registration or have a fee so email the sponsoring party to find out more details.
